About Luca Immesi, filmmaker and cinematographer based in Rome

Rome-based filmmaker with over 20 years of experience in documentary, branded content, and independent cinema, including a feature film with Alejandro Jodorowsky, works selected at the Venice Film Festival, Shanghai Film Festival, CPH PIX, Fantasia Montréal, and BIFAN South Korea, and broadcasts on Rai, Sky, La7, PBS, Amazon Prime Video, Tubi, and Plex.
I work as director, director of photography/camera operator, editor, and colorist, combining strong technical expertise with an authorial approach. I’m a DaVinci Resolve 20 Certified Trainer, and I can follow a project from concept to delivery or join at a single stage (from shooting to color grading), with my own Sony kit.

My latest documentary, Arte Sciopero (Art Strike), won Best Italian Documentary at RIFF 2025, received a Special Mention at Festival Cinemística (Universidad de Granada), screened at Cineteca di Bologna’s Art City Cinema 2026, and is in competition at the David di Donatello 2027 in the Documentary Films category. I also work in still photography: portraits, art documentation, and editorial work.
